While it is always important to make sure you are holding your NUCCA correction, these tips can help ease tension in your neck and shoulders (and help you hold your alignment).
1) Check your posture…look up! We spend so much time on our phones and tablets which leads to strain on the muscles in our neck and shoulders.
2) Stay Hydrated! Your muscles are mostly water. Keep your body well hydrated by drinking half your body weight in ounces of water every day.
3) Consider Magnesium. Many people are deficient in magnesium. Magnesium has hundreds on known functions in the body, one being it is a natural muscle relaxer. Add in magnesium-rich foods and supplement with magnesium citrate or magnesium glycinate. (Don’t use Magnesium Oxide!)
4) Decrease Stress! Try incorporating de-stressing techniques like parasympathetic breathing.
